Editorial methodology
How we research mileage cards
We prioritize official issuer product pages, applicable reward terms, fee schedules and airline transfer policies for the country in question. A product with the same name in another market may have different rules.
Inclusion and verification
The directory covers direct airline miles, bank points with an established airline route, hotel transfer routes and products requiring another eligible card. Cashback-only products are excluded. Records explicitly flagged as having unverified mileage eligibility stay outside the main card list.
“Indexed” means a record exists, not that every field is verified. A recorded earning rate does not establish fees, approval eligibility, transfer minimums or current availability. Unknown numeric values remain unknown; they are never treated as zero.
Dates and conflicting terms
Record dates describe the latest recorded update, not continuous monitoring. We prefer applicable, effective terms over marketing examples. Where conflicts cannot be resolved, we label uncertainty and avoid presenting a definitive calculation.
Calculations and comparisons
Bank points and airline miles are separate currencies. Reliable estimates require transaction rounding, caps, tiers, exclusions and transfer rules. Calculators remain disabled where these cannot be modeled. Directory order is not a ranking or a personalized recommendation.
How earning rates are calculated
Each card record stores an everyday earning rate: reward units per unit of local currency on ordinary eligible spending, in the card’s own reward currency, such as VOYAGE Miles, DBS Points or KrisFlyer miles. Special categories are stored as separate rates.
The card-detail calculator uses this formula: annual reward units = 12 × (monthly ordinary spend × everyday rate + monthly category spend × category rate), summed across categories, rounded down once at the end. Monthly amounts are entered in the card’s currency.
Worked example, using the OCBC VOYAGE rates checked on October 15, 2026 (1.3 VOYAGE Miles per SGD 1 local, 2.2 per SGD 1 foreign currency): SGD 1,000 local and SGD 200 foreign-currency spend per month gives 12 × (1,000 × 1.3 + 200 × 2.2) = 20,880 VOYAGE Miles per year, before any bonus. The SGD 498 annual fee is shown separately and is not converted into miles.
To compare cards fairly:
- Use the same monthly spending profile, in local currency, for every card.
- Calculate annual reward units with each card’s recorded rates.
- Set your own value per reward unit. The directory does not publish cents-per-mile or point values, because transfer partners, award availability and expiry vary by reader.
- Check transfer ratios, minimums, expiry and reachable programs before comparing results, since reward units from different currencies are not interchangeable.
- Only then subtract the annual fee, in the same currency as your value.
The calculation omits welcome and promotional bonuses, unlisted categories, caps and tiers that are not recorded, interest, cash-advance and foreign-exchange charges, and redemption value. It rounds down only once, at the annual total; per-transaction rounding can reduce real earnings and is not modeled. Where any of these cannot be modeled for a card, its calculator stays disabled. Calculator output is an estimate, not an offer or a guaranteed result.
