Award booking checklist
Compare the whole booking, including the cash costs and restrictions.
- Search the exact airports, dates, cabin and number of passengers. Review each segment’s cabin and operating airline.
- Confirm reward availability in the program you will actually use. A partner’s displayed inventory may differ.
- Compare miles plus cash charges with a comparable cash ticket, baggage and flexibility included.
- Read change, cancellation, no-show and refund conditions. Check whether fees apply per person or segment.
- Review connection times, separate-ticket risks and airport changes.
- Check passenger names against travel documents before payment.
- Confirm entry and transit requirements through the relevant official government sources.
- After booking, save the ticket number and operating-airline reference. Confirm the reservation is ticketed.
Keep the currencies separate
If a ticket costs 60,000 airline miles, 60,000 bank points will cover it only when the current eligible conversion produces that many miles. Fees and transfer blocks can change the amount you need.
