Qantas Frequent Flyer guide
Qantas · Qantas Points · oneworld
Earn Qantas Points through eligible flights and local partners, and use them for eligible rewards. Status Credits serve a separate purpose.
How it works
Qantas Frequent Flyer uses Qantas Points for rewards and separate Status Credits for membership tiers.
Earning
Eligible Qantas and partner flights earn points. Australian co-branded cards and local partners can help; bank/card availability depends on residence.
Using rewards
Search eligible Classic reward options and compare them with cash fares and other points-payment choices. Award availability and cash charges vary.
Partners
Qantas is in oneworld and has additional partners. Each flight’s marketing carrier, operating carrier and fare class can affect earning.
Expiry
The current terms require qualifying activity within 18 consecutive months. Earning points or Status Credits, or redeeming points, can qualify; family transfers and Qantas Business Rewards transfers are excluded from the stated activity test.
Before you book
Keep personal Frequent Flyer and business-reward accounts distinct. Do not assume that transferring points between family members protects expiry.
